Jeremy Williams (ice hockey)

Jeremy Williams (born January 26, 1984 in Glenavon, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a professional ice hockey centre who currently plays in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization of the National Hockey League. He plays for their American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
Williams was drafted 220th overall by the Leafs in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
He has played two NHL games to date. His debut came on April 18, 2006 versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. He scored his first NHL goal on his first NHL shot in a 5-3 victory. He was recalled to the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 23rd, 2007. He was to play in the game vs the Philadelphia Flyers, but Coach Paul Maurice decided to play Andy Wozniewski instead. He got the nod to play against the Montreal Canadiens. During this game team-mate and captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs Mats Sundin shot the puck at Montreal goaltender David Aebischer and the rebound came straight to Williams to put in his 2nd NHL goal on his 2nd NHL shot in a 5-4 loss.
