Jersey Farm

Jersey Farm is a district of St Albans situated approximately 2 miles north-east of the city centre. It is largely surrounded by countryside and is "attached" to St Albans by the district of Marshalswick to its south-west.
The area was developed as a residential estate in the 1970s. Amenities include pubs, local shops and a community centre.
The village has one pub; The Blackberry Jack, which is renowned for its reasonable prices and regularity of Guard.
Also of interest is the prestigious restaurant Lucky Boy, the proprietor of which is Andrew, thought to have pioneered, and subsequently abolished, 'The Deal', which many residents of the village partaked of on a Wednesday night. Andrew is now considered a traitor by certain citizens of Jersey Farm, although he partially redeemed himself in the summer of 2006 by holding an impromptu screening of the hit film 'Lake Placid' for selected customers.
