Jessica Robinson is an American singer & frontwoman of the Chicago-based rock band CoverGürl. Outside the Chicago area, she is best known for her appearance as a contestant on the television series Rock Star: INXS.
[edit] Rock Star: INXS
Jessica's relatively poor fan response & a relative lack of songwriting experience made her an underdog on the show. She was one of the younger contestants on the show, & an American woman trying out for a previously all-male band, the rest of whose memebers were Australian & much older. She seems to have been considered by the voting fans to be a poor fit for "our band, INXS." Tim Farriss, the leader of the band, told her, "You sound good singing our songs," but eliminated her from contention after fan voting had put her in the "bottom three" four times in the first six weeks.
