JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa) is an advocacy group based in San Francisco, California which defines its mission as "to advocate and educate about the history and plight of the Jews indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa".
JIMENA advocates for Jews indigenous to the following countries: Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen (and Aden), Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia.
JIMENA supports legislation introduced by Congressman Tom Lantos -- Resolution H. Res 848 in the House and S. Res 494 in the Senate entitled “The creation of refugee populations in the Middle East, North Africa and the Persian Gulf region as a result of human rights violations".
