Jinenji (日暮草太 Jinenji) is a character in the manga and anime series InuYasha.
Jinenji is half horse demon. Jinenji was blamed for many peoples deaths in a village nearby because many villagers see his rough, big looks instead of his kindness. Although he is very shy he retains a lot of his fathers demon powers and is incredibly powerful when the time calls for it.
The first time he appeared was when Kirara was poisoned by Naraku's shōki and Kagome and Inuyasha needed the herb that could cure Kirara. In another episode Jaken was stung by Naraku's Saimyōshō and Rin went to Jinenji's house to look for the herb. In this episode Jinenji was in his human form.
