Johanna Constantine

Johanna Constantine is an American dancer, choreographer and DJ.
Constantine was raised in the wilds of the California Mountains and now lives and works in New York City. She has performed and collaborated with Antony Hegarty since 1989. Her artistic pursuits are split along three tracks;
- her performances with Antony and the Johnsons, consisting of costume, dance, and sound collage, are monolithic personal fetishes of an almost religious nature,
- The sex/death imagery that fuels her is more apparent in pieces made with video choreographer Charles Atlas and
- her other principle interest is in collecting progressive music, which has culminated in a career deejaying in New York and abroad.
