John Burns (Radio)

John Burns, with on-air partner Ross Stevenson are icons of Melbourne radio. Breakfast with Ross Stevenson & John Burns on radio station 3AW is one of Australia's most successful radio shows. The light hearted breakfast news and gossip show starts at 5:30am and goes through to 8:30am each weekday morning.
Burns' radio debut was in 1988 on radio station 3RRR on the programme 'Lawyers, Guns & Money' as the character Sir Lunchalot. Later, the Sir Lunchalot character was to become a regular Friday morning contributor to the 3AW breakfast show, providing masterful insights in to the art of gluttony.
Prior to his career in radio, John Burns had an established career as a barrister.
John Burns is married with three sons and an adopted former 'death row' dog called Rocky. Originally, "Rocky" was called "Rocca", after a famous Centre Half Forward for the Collingwood Football Club.
