John Foreman (musician)

John Foreman is an Australian musician and television personality.
He wrote the Olympic Flame song, titled "The Flame", for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
He has been a long-time member of Good Morning Australia until retiring from the show in 2004. Since then he has been the musical director on Australian Idol.
In December 2005 he began hosting The Big Night in With John Foreman. The premiere episode featured a classic interview with actor Russell Crowe, as well as interviews with Deborah Conway and Tina Cousins.
John Foreman has also been the conductor for Melbourne's Christmas Eve 'Carols by Candlelight', at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in both 2005 and 2006, and possibly in future years.
He was also the conductor for the band on Australian Idol, and helped the contestants to re-create the songs they sang for the contest. He can be seen in a clip on Idol Backstage [1].
