John Preston (character)

John Preston (also known as Grammaton Cleric John Preston) is a fictional character who appears in the 2002 film Equilibrium. Preston is portrayed by Christian Bale. In the film Preston holds the rank of "Grammaton Cleric, First Class" and, after the death of Grammaton Cleric Errol Partridge, he is the highest ranking cleric in the Tetragrammaton; a rank to which Grammaton Cleric Brandt aspires.
