Hey - could you take a quick look at Talk:The_Ashes#2005_Ashes and explain why you want such a huge chunk on content on that particular series? Please consider that a wikipedia article should not be greater than 32 KB, especially if other articles on the topic (such as The 2005 Ashes) are already available. - Good man. :) Well. Wikipedia has got this nifty thing called the a neutral point of view policy, which basically means that we can't describe players with lots of praise. Saying that "Lara's hundred was excellent" for example, is POV, but "journalists such as Cricinfo's Osman Samiuddin described Lara's hundred as excellent" is not, because it's a statement of fact. That's partly why your Ashes edit was reverted, because it had lots of words like "pitiful" and whatnot. Anyway, what I suggest you do is add numbers and statistics, like you can see in this edit, just scroll down to the "tour match" section to see its effects. There's a template like that for Test matches too, look here for an example of how it's used.
- Things like adding Adil Rashid to the Yorkshire squad is a good idea too, only problem is that the tables were messed up a bit, so someone reverted you.(For information:
- two straight lines || gives a new column,
- a straight line and a dash |- gives a new row,
- {| starts a table
- and |} closes it.) Sam Vimes | Address me 21:58, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
