Karl Ranseier

Karl Ranseier was a recurring character from the German TV show RTL Samstag Nacht (1993-1998). In each episode, there was a fake news report in which he was reported to have died. Each time a different history of his life was given. His name has become a catchphrase in Germany.

- by trying to inscenate suicide for the purpose of insurance fraud
- by trying to setup a cellar in his house-boat
- by trying to divide himself by zero
- by trying to fight a square root
and
- he was shot by a clay pigeon and became known as the most unsuccessful rifleman.
