Katharine Reimer

Katharine Reimer (born 1948) is a religious and political activist in Manitoba, Canada. In the federal election of 2004, she was a candidate for the Christian Heritage Party (CHP).
Reimer was born in Germany, and came to Canada with her parents in 1949. She was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and attended the Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute in her high school years. For eight years, she and her husband David (himself a three-time CHP candidate) were the owners of Happening Clothes, which operated four branches throughout rural Manitoba. She was also a member of the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce for thirteen years, and worked as a saleswoman in the furniture industry during the early 1980s. Reimer also did evangelical Christian work in the 1980s, and since 1991 has worked with her husband in ministry work in Steinbach. She is currently the owner and operator of The Steinbach Sears Dealer and Catalogue Store, and owns a drapery business called Finishing Touches.
In 2004, Reimer was the CHP candidate in the north Winnipeg riding of Kildonan—St. Paul. She received 278 votes, or less than 1% of the total in the riding.
