Mitchells' father was a well-known Connecticut Statesman, and the Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, in New Haven, Connecticut, is named in his honor. His grandfather, William Kennedy, served terms as a Connecticut Congressman and Senator.
Mitchell attended both Marymount College, in Palos Verdes, California, and The American University of Switzerland, in Leysin, Switzerland. After graduation he immediately entered the financial community working for Wall Street firm Gruntal & Company, in Boston, Massachusetts.
In 2006, Kennedy formed Falconview Capital, an alternative asset management firm that focuses on applying pattern recognition systems to price patterns in various asset markets and trading those markets. These include the Foreign Exchange, Equity, Debt, and Commodity markets.
