Kevin Griffin (banjo player)

Kevin Griffin is a musician from Doolin in County Clare, Republic of Ireland. He has published at least two albums; one labelled "Across the Pond" which he performs also with Roger Buridge, Michael Shorrock and Quentin Cooper and the other is a solo album simply titled "Traditional Irish Music from Doolin, County Clare". On his solo album, he is accompanied by Gerry O'Beirne (guitar), Sharon Shannon (accordion), Tommy Hayes (percussion) and Eoin O'Neill (bouzouki). That album was released in 1997.
Today, he is regarded as "very inspirational" to many banjo players although he doesn't appear to be as widely known as more popular players such as John Carty, Kieran Hanrahan and Gerry O'Conner.
