Kevin Tighe

Kevin Tighe (born August 13, 1944 in Los Angeles) is an American actor best remembered for his role as Roy DeSoto on the TV series Emergency! from 1972 to 1977. His first film appearance was a bit role in The Graduate after which he served a stint in the US Army. After his military service he returned to acting, working for Paramount Pictures when he got the role in Emergency!.
Since this time he has had several guest appearances in other television series, including Adam-12, The Love Boat, Murder She Wrote, Star Trek: Voyager, and Freaks and Geeks. On Lost, he has appeared five times (once this current season) as the father of John Locke. His latest role in the show implies that he will be appearing a lot more later. He has also appeared in several movies, notably Eight Men Out, Road House, Another 48 Hours, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, I Love a Man in Uniform and Escape to Witch Mountain. Kevin is a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity
