Kingsview Middle School

Kingsview Middle School is a middle school (grades 6-8) in Germantown, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, and part of the Montgomery County Public Schools district. As of 2005 its enrollment is some 1,318. It was built in 1997.

The large number of students has prompted it to divide itself into two "schools-within-a-school", with the goal of avoiding "becoming another large middle school where students feel overwhelmed, anxious, and overshadowed by the size of their environments".^{[citation needed]}

The "schools-within-a-school" consist of 5 communities 6-1, 6-2, 7-1, 7-2, and the 8th grade academy. 6-1 and 7-1's colors are black and red and their mascot is the Prowler. 6-2 and 7-2's colors are black and teal and their mascot is the Top Cat.
