Knut Thorbjørn Eggen

Knut Thorbjørn Eggen (born November 1, 1960) is a Norwegian football coach and former player.
As a player Eggen spent his entire career with Rosenborg. He played for the team between 1979 and 1991, winning the league title thrice. He was capped four times for the Norwegian national team.
Eggen was the head coach of Fredrikstad F.K. who won promotion to the First Division in 2002 and Eliteserien in 2003. In 2005 Egil Olsen was hired as head coach for Fredrikstad, while Knut Thorbjørn Eggen stepped down to work as an assistant coach. When Olsen retired from the position at the end of the year, Eggen was promoted to his previous job. Prior to the period on Fredrikstad he trained their rival team Moss. Eggen retired from his position as coach of Fredrikstad F.K. December 2006.
Eggen's father Nils Arne Eggen is an even more successful football coach.
