KPTY-FM, also known as Party 104.9 FM, is a Hip-Hop station outlet serving the Houston, Texas, USA area. The Univision-owned station is licenced to Missouri City, Texas and broadcasts at 104.9 MHz with an ERP of 25 kW. Its transmitter is located on One Shell Plaza in Downtown Houston.
They also have a simulcast, KPTI-FM 105.3 in Crystal Beach, Texas, which serves the Galveston area. They have an ERP of 6 kW.
The simulcasts offer a very heavily R&B/Hip-Hop direction. However they also play other Rhythmic Pop products.
KPTY-FM originally started out at 100.7 FM in 1999 as The House Party. But in 2001 it switched signals, giving it a better coverage of the market.
The current morning show DJ's are Dana Cortez and the Kandee Man.
Liberman-owned station KNOR in Dallas, Texas did the same format under Party 93.7 from 2004-2006.
