Krum Kaka
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
'Krum kaka' is a thin, airy cookie, traditionally made during the Christmas season. Krum kaka is most popular in Norway, Germany, and Sweden (where it is referred to as Krumkake). In Germany, the cookies are commonly filled with sweet stuffings such as raspberry compote or whipped cream. Krum kaka batter usually consists of sugar, butter, flour, eggs, whipping cream, and vanilla. There are 2 different kinds of krum kaka irons: electric irons and stovetop irons. The batter is poured on the iron, cooked for approximately 30 seconds, and then taken off and immediately rolled into a conical shape.
