Lakeland County, Alberta

Lakeland County is a county in Division No. 12 in the north-east of Alberta, Canada.
The county was incorporated on Jul 01, 1998, from the northern part of the Municipal District of Bonnyville.
As of 2001 Lakeland County had a population of 4,959, spread across 16,292.70 km²(Source: Statistics Canada 2001 Census[1]
The economy is based around the oil and gas industry, agriculture and tourism. Some sawmills are also present.
