[edit] Biting the Newcomer (my first day trying to be bold) Feb 2005
Please stop removing content from Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Carrp | Talk 18:48, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
That, and we want links to the Pearl Video. WhisperToMe 19:02, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Carrp | Talk 19:04, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I was not experimenting, I did it on purpose. AND it's not vandalism, it's a matter of opinion.Laurap414

- Laura, I received you email with the text "who the heck are you?". I'd be happy to correspond with you, but please contact me on my talk page. I understand that you would like the Daniel Pearl video links removed because they are offensive. I also find them offensive, but unfortunately that's not justification for removal of information. The best place to discuss your concerns is at Talk:Daniel Pearl. Carrp | Talk 19:23, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
re: page I edited Hi. You might also want to sneak a peek at Wikipedia:Substubs and WIkipedia:Manual of style. Thanks, and please don't hesitate to call on me if I can be of help to get you started off right. - Lucky 6.9 01:15, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] PepsiAmericas
The Category:Corporation stubs is extremely overpopulated. When I started cleaning up the category, it contained (rough estimate) over 3,000 stubs. In order to clean up the category, many articles had to be moved to other categories (e.g. Bank stubs), and some new categories had to be created (e.g. Restaurant stubs). For now, drink-stub is imo a better location for PepsiAmericas than corp-stub. Corp-stub is very broad, and is meant as a net for articles that can't fit into an already existing category. Drink-stub indicates what kind of corporation PepsiAmericas is: a beverage-related corporation. This is not a golden rule though: if there are enough articles, a new stub category might be created: {{drink-corp-stub}}, in order to make a distinction between articles about beverages, and articles about the corporations producing beverages. I hope this answers your question. And no, you didn't do anything wrong ;) Aecis 18:48, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Disambiguation
I am a little confused about your comment on the dab talk. You can learn to pipe links at Wikipedia:Piped link. You can put the date after your name by signing four tildas eg: ~~~~. You can find out about the style of dab pages at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages). Can you please re-explain your suggestion. --Commander Keane 11:58, August 14, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Soiling
hi there Laurap414! I noticed you added Soiling to AfD. There are a couple of things you did slightly wrong, and I hope you don't mind me letting you know (I saw your userbox!) Firstly, see Wikipedia:Merge for advice on how to suggest a merger of pages. Secondly, when adding to AfD, remember to use the "subst" in section 2 of the "how-to nominate an article" guide on the WP:AFD page. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me! ConDemTalk 05:33, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi there again. The thing to do when you see something that you think should be merged into another article, as in where there is overlap like in soiling, is to suggest a merge using Wikipedia:Merge. An article that is "in outline format, not in full sentences" does not warrant an AfD - in this case, you should add a cleanup tag listed under Wikipedia:Cleanup resources, or a {{wikify}} tag, if the problem is to do with formatting. Of course, you're very welcome to have a go at reorganising or reformatting an article yourself so that it fits in with Wikipedia's Manual of Style. The deletion policy lists those things which might make an article or image appropriate for listing under AfD. For non-controversial deletion of articles you can use the {{prod}} tag. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page and I'll be very happy to help! ConDemTalk 00:43, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mary mahowald
- Probably not. The software behind the website doesn't always redirect miscapitalized spellings automatically. In any case, I don't think the extra redirect is doing any harm. --DMG413 17:59, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Soiling
Hello Laura. Don't worry, I won't be offended. But I think that if it has to be merged, than strictly encopresis and fecal incontinence would need to me merged too. The 3 all mean pretty much the same with minor differences mainly depending on the context. I would like to do a "cleanup", meaning I could translate the article in lay-terms that are easier to understand and adding references and evidence. But I will only do it once the threat that the article will disappear shortly is being lifted, because I don't want to do the work just for somebody else to delete it. I think I have a very good article on this subject valuable for all who are affected by this problem, and I understand it needs cleanup. But I also understand Mr.Condem who thins that a Guide on Management doesn't belong to an Encyclopedia. Please make up your mind whether I should carry on with cleaning or not. I would NOT be happy to alter the Encopresis- or Fecal soiling- pages, because these articles are both very good as they are, and I don't want to mess them up. Greetings, Peter Aberpete 19:20, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi there. I have followed your order and done a spell-check, removed the ""s, and rephrased some sentences. I'm sure it is still not perfect, I'm new to Wikipedia and my English has always been crap. I can only do more if you tell me exactly where the problems are. With your permission I would remove the copyedit-tag. Greetings, PeterAberpete 01:54, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks from Mohammad Gani
Hello Laura, please pardon me as I could not figure out how to send a reply to you. Please feel free to send me private mail at . Once you have this email address stored somewhere, please delete it (and this message) from this page. I am thinking about the article title: entrepreneurship in economic theory. Thanks 70.31.37.205 22:53, 11 April 2006 (UTC)Gani
Laura, I would have no objection to merging my article with First Book of Nephi. The problem is that if a reader enters "Lehi's Dream" as a search term he gets nothing. If it is made possible for that reader to enter that search term and get First Book of Nephi that's fine. Anne Wingate
[edit] Hiram Abrams
Hey, thanks for putting the notice on the article. I'm fixing it now; I will delete the Hiram Abrams page and make the move, your copy and paste attempt to fix will be taken care of. Happy editing to you! Teke (talk) 03:29, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
