Le sept - neuf trente
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Le sept - neuf trente (Seven - nine thirty) is the main morning news programme on France Inter, the French public generalist radio network. It is made up of news bulletins, reports, commentaries, a press review, an interview, and a phone-in debate with listeners, and goes out on weekdays from 7.00 to 9.30 (hence the name). At weekends the programme is replaced by Le sept - neuf du samedi and Le sept - neuf du dimanche which give greater coverage to leisure-time pursuits.
The programme's main presenter since 2006 has been Nicolas Demorand. His predecessor, Stéphane Paoli, and the programme's chief commentary writer, Bernard Guetta, were criticized for backing the "yes" option during the 2005 European Constitution referendum campaign. As a result, Paoli became the whipping-boy of far-left groups.[citation needed]
