The Lebanon national football team is the national team of Lebanon and is controlled by the Federation Libanaise de Football Association. It has never qualified for the World Cup finals. The closest they have come was the qualifying for the 2006 tournament, where a win against Vietnam in their last group match would have seen them progress to the group stage ahead of the much favoured Korea Republic.

Lebanon has hosted the 2000 Asian Cup despite getting knocked out in the first round they performed way better than most expected lebanon were unlucky and unfortunate to be knocked out in such an early stage.

Lebanon were forced to withdraw the 2007 Asian cup qualifiers due to the Lebanon-Israeli conflict. Lebanon drew their first game 1-1 with Kuwait in which was their last game. The lebanese footballing fans has said that "israel should also be kicked out of the euro qualifiers just like we did at the asian qualifiers" this shows the angerment of the footballing fans of lebanon as the nation were gaining a reputation due to their good performance they have recently been showing.
