Linda Loredo

Linda Loredo (June 20, 1907 - August 11, 1931) was a former dancer of Mexican descent. She appeared in many of Laurel & Hardy's films, including foreign versions of Blotto and Be Big. She also appeared in the original version of Come Clean as Mrs. Laurel.

Loredo entered films in 1928 and was most commonly associated with Laurel & Hardy short subjects. Her fiery Latin temper played excellent counterpoint to the teams comic buffoonery. She made eight films in 1930/1931, and her star seemed destined to continue raising at the Hal Roach's studio.
Twenty-four year old Loredo entered Queen of Angels Hospital on June 11, 1931 for an emergency appendectomy and died two months later from peritonitis and other post-operative complications.
