List of Parliamentary constituencies in South Glamorgan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Parliamentary constituency boundaries used in Wales up to the United Kingdom general election, 2005 were drawn up before the local government reorganisation in 1996, and subsequent changes to Preserved counties have left some constituencies spanning their boundaries. The Preserved county of South Glamorgan is basically divided into 5 Parliamentary constituencies: Four Borough constituencies and one County constituency but also includes parts of three others spanning the border with Mid Glamorgan.

Current proposals by the Boundary Commission for Wales would retain these five constituencies, with changes to realign constituency boundaries with the boundaries of current Preserved counties and local government wards, and to reduce the electoral disparity between constituencies. These changes are expected to be implemented at the United Kingdom general election, 2009/10.
