There was a game set in Japan where the character would fly through the air holding a mystical energy ball. The premise was that the rival clan were actually aliens and the player had to go to a pyramid on Mars to learn this. At the end of the game, the player fights the evil that has been controlling the evil clan and it involoved the player growing wings and flying up into space to meet the evil master creature.
