Lok Ma Chau (Chinese: 落馬洲, Cantonese IPA: /lɔk22 mɑ13 tsɐu55/, Jyutping: lok6 maa5 zau1, Mandarin Pinyin: Luòmǎzhōu), is the northwestern terminus in Lok Ma Chau on the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line, a branch line of the KCR East Rail. It is built to alleviate the overcrowded checkpoint between Hong Kong and mainland China at Lo Wu station. This station, together with the spur line, is currently under construction and will be come into service in mid-2007.
