Three of the tracks on Long Stretch of Lonesome would chart in the top 20 on the Billboard Top Country Singles. Highlights are "High on Love," "To Have You Back Again" and the George Jones-backed "You Don't Seem to Miss Me," each of which both charted in the top 20. Another great song is the rousing "The Party Ain't Over Yet."
After this album Patty Loveless would find that the big hits would be much harder to come by.
