Longfellow Gardens and Zoo

The Longfellow Gardens and Zoo, located in what is now Minnehaha Falls, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The zoo was owned and operated by Robert F. (Fish) Jones from when it was constructed in 1906 until 1924 when he donated it to the park. The zoo was housed in one building, the Longfellow House which is still in existence today. The zoo closed in 1934 and donated a large number of the animals to Como Zoo in St. Paul.
