[edit] Synopsis
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
When Paige discovers that a 11-year-old runaway is a firestarter, she whisks him to the manor for safekeeping, but the gang soon discovers that his foster parents are, in fact, demon bounty hunters. Thus, they protect him while trying to teach him how to use his powers for good rather than evil. Meanwhile, Cole has his hands full when Phoebe begins reverting into a 1950s housewife when she puts on Grams' cursed wedding ring.

[edit] Enemies
- Ludlow: an upper level demon who heads an academy for evil children. He is immune from the powers of Firestarters.
- Demonic Bounty Hunters: Driven by greed, these heartless low level demons will stop at nothing to collect their bounty. They have the power to fire energy balls and/or lighting bolts and can materiallize at will. Bounty hunter track down fugitive demons, but if the price is right, they can go after anyone.
[edit] Allies
- Firestarters: An extremely rare and coveted magical creature, usually a mortal, who possess the ability of pyrokinesis. Their power is linked to their emotions. It first manifests in adolescence with the onset of puberty. If subjugated while still impressionable, they can be persuaded to use their power for evil. Because of this, they are often trained to be bodyguards of the source.
[edit] Spells
- To Destroy A Magic Shield: Door unlock, no magic block.
- To Vanquish Ludlow:
The bitter winter,
gives way to flowers of spring.
Ludlow is vanquished.
[edit] Trivia
- The episode title is a play on words to the phrase lost and found.
- At the beginning of this episode Phoebe states that Grams was engaged with the ring six times and in all other conversations such as the season three episode Magic Hour and in Necromancing the Stone, it was shown that Grams was only actually married four times, meaning she called off two engagements.
- Paige is responsible for writing the Ludlow vanquishing spell. She says that this spell is a Haiku, but the first line has only four sylabells.
- This marks the second time Alyssa Milano changed her hair in season four. This time she cut it a little bit shorter with long bangs.
- The curse on Grams' ring is used again, only this time on Piper, in Gone with the Witches.
- The term Firestarter probably come from Stephen King's novel, Firestarter which also features a pyrokinetic child.
- Phoebe polluted the drainage by throwing Gram's cursed ring into the flow, without considering the fact that it might be discovered by some mortals.
- When Phoebe and Cole are in the bathtub, it's full of bubbles but when Phoebe flushes the ring, the bottom of the bathtub is clearly visible. When the camera focuses on their faces again, the bubbles are back.
- We learn in this episode Phoebe's favorite TV show as a little girl was Bewitched, and because her mother died when she was so young, Phoebe considered Samantha Stevens to be a role model.
- When Paige says "Grams' ring please!" and orbs it to her, there's a shot of her hand empty, then a shot of her hand with the ring in it. As the ring appears in her hand, there's a huge change in what the hand looks like, and it doesn't look like her hand at all.
- When Phoebe and Cole are in the bathtub and Phoebe picks up the ring her hands are wet but when the close-up of the ring is shown her hands are dry and you can see a black sleeve.
