LR44 battery

LR44 is the IEC name for a standard type of Button Cell alkaline batteries. They are often used in small devices such as laser pointers and watches, and have a voltage output of 1.5 volts.
In common usage they are often interchanged with SR44 batteries which have the same size and voltage, but offer roughly twice as much energy storage milliamp-hours and higher current capacity because of their Silver-Oxide chemistry.
