Lu Banglie
Chinese civil rights activist
Born 1971 in a Baoyuesi village in Hubei province and lived there as a farmer. 2001 he started petioning the government to reduce taxes for poor farmers. 2004 he was elected chief of his village, campaigning against curruption, increasing healthcare casts and land seizures.
