Marion Peck

Marion Peck is a painter born on October 3, 1963 in Manila, the Philippines, while her family was on a trip around the world. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, the youngest of four children.

Marion's father, Cornelius, a professor of law at the University of Washington, and her mother, Gloria, an art historian, have encouraged and supported her artistic inclinations from the very start. Peck received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1985. Subsequently she studied in two different MFA programs, Syracuse University in New York and Temple University in Rome, after which she lived in Italy for a few years, absorbing art, landscape, and food. Since 1994 she has lived mostly in Seattle, returning frequently to Italy and also spending some time in New York and, more recently, Los Angeles.
She has exhibited her work in Paris, Rome, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Her paintings are in the collections of Danny Elfman, Gary Larson, Jessicka, Long Gone John, Mark Ryden, and many other private collections in the United States and Europe.
