From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mark "Spike" Stent is a record producer, engineer, and mixer who has worked with The KLF,[1] Björk, Keane, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Massive Attack, Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Dave Matthews, No Doubt, Oasis, Gwen Stefani, the Spice Girls, Linkin Park, Craig David, S Club 7, U2, and Britney Spears, among others. Primarily a mixer, Stent is one of the most sought after in the business.
Stent works out of his purpose built studio in Barnes, South London. The studio was built as part of a joint venture between himself and EMI - EMI paid for the building, and Stent equipped it.
In 2005, Radiohead members confirmed that they were recording a new album with Stent. As of August 2006, the band had apparently finished their sessions with Stent and is beginning work again with their longtime producer Nigel Godrich, though it is unknown whether material produced by Stent will also end up on the final mix of the album, likely due in 2007.
