Maryland Route 824
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Maryland Route 824 is a one-mile stretch of road in Cecil County, Maryland north of Perryville and south of Craigtown.
[edit] Route description
Maryland 824 is also called Blythedale Road for its entire length. The northern end of the highway intersects Maryland Route 275. Across Maryland 275, the road continues as Bainbridge Road (or Maryland Route 222). Just before crossing under Interstate 95, Maryland 824 has an intersection with Prinicipio Road, which proceeds north from the intersection. The underpass under I-95 is just east (or north) of exit 93 (Maryland 275). The highway continues south, with an intersection on the left with Jackson Station Road, until it comes to an end at an intersection of Maryland 222 and Reservoir Road, not far from the southern end of Maryland 275.
Given its alignment with Maryland 222 on both ends, it appears that Maryland 824 was the original route of Maryland 222, but that Maryland 222 has been made to share the road with Maryland 275 on that stretch.
The community at the southern end of Blythedale Road is called Blythedale on some maps.
