From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Matthew "Matt" Gunn is a writer and entertainer from St. Louis, Missouri.
Matt is a member of the Gunn Family of Hollywood performers and creators. His brothers are writer and director James Gunn, actor Sean Gunn, film and television writer Brian Gunn, and film executive and producer Patrick Gunn. He is cousins with writer Mark Gunn. Matt currently lives in Los Angeles.
Matt's recent work is vigorously political, both on his popular liberal web-blog at www.mattgunn.com (not updated since January 2005) and as a political and humor writer on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher.
In 1997, Matt wrote, produced, and starred in Man About Town, a twenty-minute film that won the Sundance Film Festival Short Filmmaking Award. The film later sold for a record-breaking amount to Cinemax, where it was shown often.
