Matthew Hamilton Gault

Matthew Hamilton Gault (18 July 1822 – 1 June 1887) was a Canadian financier and politician.
Born in Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland, he migrated to Canada in 1842 with his family settling in Montreal. He was elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the 1878 election for the riding of Montreal West. A Conservative, he was re-elected in 1882 and served until his death in 1887.
