Mazzic

Mazzic is a smuggler from the fictional Star Wars Expanded Universe. He first appears in Timothy Zahn's The Last Command.
When Talon Karrde first gathered the leading smugglers groups in an attempt to unite the smugglers against the Empire, Mazzic is among those that answered his call. Although he initially intended to remain neutral, he agreed to participate after an Imperial attack on their meeting at the Whirlpool. Shortly afterward, he and Ellor led a strike attack on the Bilbringi shipyards that lead to the destruction of a near complete Star Destroyer. Later, he was captured by Grand Admiral Thrawn and expected to be interrogated and tortured. Instead, Thrawn hinted that Talon Karrde had bribed the local garrsion commander to attack the meeting, and then Thrawn let Mazzic go. Mazzic confronted Karrde at another meeting of the smugglers, but Niles Ferrier slipped up and revealed that he, not Karrde, had bribed the garrison commander to attack the Whirlpool. After realizing Thrawn had deceived him, Mazzic was firmly on Karrde's side, helping him infiltrate Bilbringi once again to steal a CGT for the New Republic.
He later appeared in Specter of the Past, where his bodyguard, Shada, quits to work for Talon Karrde.
