Monato Esprit is a free MMORPG with sprite based graphics. Monato protrays the element of cartoons by providing cartoonish movements of characters. This is reinforced by the use of primary colors. The world of Monato Esprit is made of people's dreams. The crystal that sustains the world is the source of bringing together the people dreams. It is also the sprit that finds lost dreams. The crystal uses the force of the moon at night when people dream to lead those who have lost hope to Monato Esprit. However, a dark force disrupted the world. Monato's world is still a world of dreams, however because of the dark force danger lerks everywhere.[1]

- Hwarang - These are warriors are in a traditional costume of an ancient kingdom: The Mong Hwan. They are adept at battles that require strength and speed rather than skills and tricks.
- Mage - Mages are magicians who use enchantment as side magic. Their splendid magical assaults them the main warrior magicians. They possess a magical ability to attack with the aid of other powers.
- Templar - Templars are knights who honor the revelation of the Lime. They rescue the Birdians from the dark forces. They have an assortment of skills that are projected with the omnipotence of the Lime.
- Clown - Birdians who have been influence by fun-loving spirits. They call themselves the Clowns and have forms a clans of their own. They use their splendid showmanship to deceive, and on the battle field it is as if they are doing magic
- Sheriff - They were recalled to this World by the aiders who were concerned of the increasing amount conflicts and disputes. When the dark forces seeped into the World they take on the responsibility of protecting the villagers. They are adept at using pistols and other state-of-the-art weapons.
- Cleric - They heal hurt souls with their holy powers and block the spread of evil spirits. Their chants are smoothening to those rendered powerless, lonely, and scared.[2]

Monato's Fate system is unique and has never been introduced before in previous existing games. The player's luck is determined according to the Fate System The game progresses with a partner destined by fate, furthering strengthening community ties. A soul mate system plays matchmaker and helps build relationships with others online.[3]

Like Shadowbane and Entropia Universe, Monato offeres the option for a character to own a house.
