Mount Hawke

Mount Hawke is an old copper mining village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom,approximately 2.5mls (3Km)from the Atlantic coast at Porthtowan.
It is regarded as a quiet but friendly village and has a public house (The Old School Pub), a Post Office, a florists and two general stores. There are also two churches, the Parish Church (St John the Baptist) and a Methodist Church. In addition it has a good Primary School(5-11yrs) and contains the largest indoor skatepark in Cornwall.
Just 7 miles from Truro (Cornwall's capital), Mount Hawke is an ideal location for commuters and also holiday makers who wish to be near both the town and the beautiful beaches of Cornwall's North Coast.
The village is also the home of the British singer/songwriter, Alex Parks - who was the winner of the television show, Fame Academy, in 2003.
Mount Hawke is known locally as the "Golden Triangle", which consists of Mount Hawke, St. Agnes and Porthtowan, and has stunning views across St Agnes' 'Beacon' and has glimpses of the sea.
