Image talk:My Father.jpg
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As I walked along a dirt road in a rice village in Thailand, I spotted this farmer chasing his little girl around the front yard. Pointing to my camera, I asked him if I could take their picture.
Looking at the girls face, she really wasn't happy that her playtime with dad was interrupted. Later, after I developed the film, I gave him a copy of the photograph. Staring at the image, he paused for a moment and then started to cry.
It was the first photograph he had ever taken with his daughter. For a man who works a small plot of land to support his family, a camera and film are well beyond his financial means.
SIMPLE OBSERVATION: I believe that fathers still play an important role in raising children. Fathers (as well as mothers) should playfully chase their kids around the yard.
