MYX, the music channel of ABS-CBN and one of the most popular music channels in the Philippines, honors the biggest hitmakers through MYX Music Awards which debuted at Onstage Greenbelt on June 6, 2006.
Largely credited for the resurgence of OPM in recent years, MYX further strengthens its commitment to the Philippine music industry by mounting the MYX Music Awards. True to its famous tagline “Your Choice, Your Music”, MYX viewers from all over the Philippines will decide the winners in 17 major categories via sms text messaging.
Cueshe was the big winner of Myx Music Awards 2006, they gathered 3 awards. Sponge Cola is the big winner of the recently concluded Myx Music Awards 2007, they gathered 4 awards.
