[edit] Biography
Navi, along with his wife, Dina, and son, Behrooz, are immigrants from Turkey who live in Carson, CA, near Los Angeles. He is listed in the federal database as a naturalised citizen with no criminal record. He owns an electronics store and is particularly skilled at fixing computers and televisions. In secret, however, he is a terrorist working for Habib Marwan.
[edit] Day 4
A briefcase obtained in a train bomb is brought to Navi. He will use his son Behrooz to deliver it to the warehouse where James Heller and Audrey Raines are being held hostage. Navi believes that Behrooz is still seeing his American girlfriend, Debbie, even though he told him to no longer have contact with her. Meanwhile, Navi instructs his henchman to kill computer expert Andrew Paige, who stumbled upon and hacked into the web server of his terrorist group. Behrooz delivers the briefcase to the warehouse, but finds that Debbie has followed him. As he is confronted about not returning her calls, a man in the warehouse watches. When Behrooz returns home from delivering the device, Navi slaps him for allowing his girlfriend to compromise the mission and see where he was delivering the briefcase. He orders Behrooz to kill her. Navi feels that his son must kill the girl because he created the problem. Navi returns home to find Debbie dead, and he tells his son that what he did was necessary and that he was proud of him. Navi sends one of the henchman out with Behrooz to dispose of Debbie’s body, with instructions to kill Behrooz. He tells Dina that their leader Habib Marwan wants Behrooz killed. Navi thinks that Behrooz never believed in their cause.
An hour later, Navi is shocked to hear that Behrooz killed his henchman. He orders Dina to meet up with Behrooz, and he will follow. When Behrooz attempts to escape, Navi has his men fire at them, and they hit Dina in the arm. Dina and Behrooz escape. Navi is forced to tell Marwan the news. Marwan threatens Navi that he will pay for what he has caused today. Navi assures Marwan that he will make sure both Dina and Behrooz are killed by the end of the day. Behrooz then goes to the hospital where his mother's brother works so he can try to get things to treat the wound. Dina's brother then calls Navi without Behrooz knowing. Navi lies and tells him that Behrooz wants the medical items because he has been using drugs. Navi then goes to the hospital where Behrooz is, kills Dina's brother(who was not involved with the terrorist plot) and captures Behrooz. He escapes from CTU agents who arrive on the scene, threatening to kill his son. With Behrooz as hostage, Navi lets Marwan know that government agents have captured Dina and are surrounding him. He plans to use his son as leverage. As part of a deal to ensure Dina's cooperation, Jack Bauer attempts to rescue Behrooz by himself. After a tense confrontation between Navi and Jack, Navi is shot by Behrooz and killed.
[edit] Extra Notes:
- In the first hour of Day 4 Navi says that Marwan has been working on the events of this day for 5 years, which was 6 months after David Palmer was elected president of the United States
- Unlike prior villains, Navi has no compunctions in killing his family. This makes Araz, Christopher Henderson, Marie Warner and Phillip Bauer the only four villains willing to sacrifice their family for their cause.
