The 1944 National Football League Championship Game was 12th NFL title game. The game was played on December 17, 1944, at New York's Polo Grounds. The attendance for the game was 46,016. The game feature the Green Bay Packers (8-2) champions of the Western Division verses the Eastern Division's champions New York Giants (8-1-1).
The Packers were led by head coach Curly Lambeau. The stars of the team included end Don Hutson and quarterback Irv Comp. The Giants were led by head coach Steve Owen and a dominate defense Bill Paschal runningback and former Packer quarterback Arnie Herber.
