Ordsall, Greater Manchester

Ordsall is an area of the City of Salford, in Greater Manchester, England.
Until 1974 it was part of the County Borough of Salford and is now part of the Metropolitan Borough of the City of Salford. It is in the M5 postal code district and is situated chiefly to the south of Regent Road (A57) and close to the River Irwell, the main boundary with the city of Manchester.
Ordsall was the birthplace of the Bush Roller Chain and is home to Ordsall Hall.
The BAFTA award-winning British comedy film East is East (film) released in 1999 was said to be set in Ordsall.
Ordsall is also home to Salford Lads Club which is featured on the inside cover of their album The Queen Is Dead by the pop band The Smiths. The club is on the corner of St Ignatius Way and Coronation Street in Ordsall.
