Parasol Henbē (パラソルへんべえ Parasoru Henbē?) is an anime series produced in 1989 in Japan which ran for 109 episodes. The series is based on a manga by Fujiko-Fujio "A" (pseudonym for Motoo Abiko).
Maruko is a young school boy whom one day opens his closet and finds a strange little creature called Henbē (which resembles a (hippopotamus) which is able to speak. Henbē has a magical parasol and with it he can fly and do magic. Nobody knows how he got there and from what mysterious worlds he is, but it is a fast friendship from the beginning.
