Also known as "Yellow Groove", Phyllostachys aureosulcata is a running bamboo. The Yellow Groove name comes from the distinctive yellow coloring in the internode groove. This species can also have abrupt kinks at the base of the culms. Maximum height can reach 35+' with a diameter of 2". Cold hardy to around -10F. Grows well in USDA zone 5-10.
