PoKéQuesT
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PoKéQuesT (sometimes refered to as ポケ探求 Poké Tankyuu) is a Pokémon MMORPG currently in creation by Project: Grand Theft Aero, the general aspect of which is to create a standard protocol that can be used by many different Pokémon related MMOs, and provide inter-connectivity between the MMOs; namely that of any client that can read the PKQST Protocol to connect and interact with any server that uses the PKQST Protocol.

[edit] History
Originally, as the founder came up with the idea, he joined a project (Pokémon Online) by PDC Productionés as a mapper and Spanish to English translator. As was eventually revelaed to the public by its creator, the project was a scam where the founder was just taking the money from the donations. After which PoKéQuesT itself started as "PokémonIRC", a small Pokémon MMORPG Server running using mIRC Script, which eventually lead to the now PHP coded server, and the future C++ server and client.[1]
Recently, PoKéQuesT struck a deal with PokéGlobal to share their development resources, as well as the PKQST Protocol, so that any person who downloads a client (from either PoKéQuesT or PokéGlobal may connect to the eithers server.[2]
[edit] Platforms
PoKéQuesT plans to work on both the computer, the Nintendo DS[3], and (possibly) the Wii[4]
[edit] PKQST Protocol
The PKQST Protocol is a small ASCII based protocol, generally operating over Port 7566 (When looked at on a phone, The letters PKMN translate into 7566.) The intricacies of which are widely available for download.[1]
