This template is only meant to be used in Pokémon species articles, like Hoppip or Pikachu. This is to maintain the idea of an encyclopedia by extablishing a uniformity among entries of a similar nature. This template is specifically written to be linked as the header for sections describing a Pokémon's role in other media, like the TCG or manga, as described at this style guide.

This template is automatically implemented by {{PokePage}}. However there may be cases in which it is unnecessary to use {{PokePage}} so normal use is to use this template by transclusion, rather than substitution. Remember to include the two equals signs "==" before and after it, as this is meant to be typically used as a level 2 header.
