Talk:Prescaler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Would the term presscaler be used for other kinds of conditions such as one that changes the voltage range of an input?
The example given, in a PLL, is excessively complicated. Can we find an exmaple that doesn't require us to explain a PLL? RJFJR 18:04, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
And why is a toggle flip flop not a prescaler? Arnero 08:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- So your viewing a T-FlipFlop as a divide by 2? (Darn, I overlooked that because I think of the input as asynchronous rather than regular). Sorry. RJFJR 13:08, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- I went to put the image back, but before I do, is this really yhe best image to use to expalin this concept? I didn't see it as a particularly clear exampleof frequency division. RJFJR 13:09, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
